Winter Storm Warning: Bryan's Wednesday Evening Forecast: 12/19/12

A Winter Storm Watch remains in effect and it looks like even the lowlands could see a few snowflakes on Friday with a strong cold front moving through. Meteorologist Bryan Tolle is tracking the situation and has the latest in his forecast for Wednesday Evening December 19th, 2012.

Weather Alert: The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Garrett County and they're continuing the Winter Storm Watch for Western Allegany, Western Grant & Western Mineral Counties. from Friday Morning through Saturday Night, as they could see a decent upsloping snow event once this stronger cold front moves through the area on Friday.  The National Weather Service says 6 inches of snow or more is possible during this time period combined with gusty winds, this could create near blizzard conditions.

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies and cold.  Low: 31-36.

Tomorrow (Thursday): Morning sunshine giving way to increasing cloudiness. Rain showers developing in the afternoon and lasting into the evening and overnight hours.  High: 42-47.

Tomorrow Night:
Rain likely, some could be heavy at times.  Low: 32-37.

  Mostly cloudy skies with a chance of rain and snow showers. Rain showers will be early across the area, giving way to a few snowflakes as the cold front passes through the area. Snow showers likely in Mountain Maryland (Garrett, Western Allegany, Western Grant and Western Mineral Counties...) Breezy conditions area wide.  High: 39.  Low: 28.  *High temperature will be achieved early in the day and temperatures will be falling throughout the day once the front moves through.

Saturday: Partly sunny skies and continued windy.  Snow showers possible in Mountain Maryland (Garrett, Western Allegany, Western Grant and Western Mineral Counties...) High: 36.  Low: 26.

Sunday: Mostly sunny skies.  High: 38.  Low: 25.

Christmas Eve (Monday): Mostly sunny skies.  High: 37.  Low: 23.

Christmas Day (Tuesday): Partly sunny skies.  High: 39.  Low: 27.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy skies with a chance of rain showers.  High: 41.  Low: 36.
