Weather Alerts:

The National Weather Service has issued a *Winter Storm Warning* for the entire WHAG Viewing Area through Midnight Wednesday.

Updated snowfall totals show that Southern Pennsylvania as well as Washington and Frederick Counties in Maryland are looking a 6-12" of snow by Wednesday Evening.  Majority of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia and Northern Virginia are looking at 10-15"+ of snow.  Snow will continue to move into the area through the overnight hours, and will continue through Wednesday.

Snow could fall at a rate of 1-2" per hour on Wednesday, and this will be a heavy, wet snow.  This will make travel extremely difficult if not impossible as we get into the daytime hours on Wednesday.  With this snow having a lot of weight to it, it could also bring down power lines and tree limbs causing power outages as we work through our Wednesday.

Caution is advised if you have to travel on Wednesday due to the heavy nature of the snow.
