Woman Struck and Killed by Train in Ranson Identified

Police say a train struck Lisa Webb around 11:20 Tuesday as she was walking down the tracks with her back turned.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, W.Va. - The woman who was killed Tuesday morning after being hit by a train in Ranson has been identified.

Police say a train struck Lisa Webb around 11:20 a.m. Tuesday as she was walking down the tracks with her back turned.

The incident happened near Cranes Lane, and shut down several surrounding roads for about two hours.

Multiple friends and family on the scene said the victim suffered from seizures and short-term memory loss, which may have contributed to slow reaction time. But officials cannot confirm that until an autopsy is completed.
