Driver Crashes into Pole, Charged with DUI

Maryland State Police Hagerstown Barrack says one person was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after crashing their vehicle into a pole.
HAGERSTOWN, Md.Maryland State Police Hagerstown Barrack says one person was taken to the hospital Wednesday night after crashing their vehicle into a pole.

The single car accident happened at 10:07 p.m. Wednesday on Downsville Pike near Route 63.

State Police say the driver was ejected from their vehicle during the crash and has been taken to Meritus Medical Center for treatment.

State Police say the driver has been charged with driving under the influence.

The crash is still under investigation.
