Just before 2 a.m. Thursday, a vehicle overturned while speeding away from police.
HAGERSTOWN, Md -- Just before 2 a.m. Thursday, a vehicle overturned while speeding away from authorities.

Hagerstown Police attempted to pull a driver over on Forest Drive, but the car failed to stop and instead began speeding away, according to officers.

The car attempted to turn onto a side street to get away, but lost control causing the vehicle to flip.

The driver fled the scene leaving behind an injured female passenger.  That woman was taken to Meritus Medical Center with minor injuries.

Local authorities and the Maryland State Police's aviation unit assisted in that search.  The driver still has not been located.
