A resource officer at Stonewall Jackson High School says they received information about a threat to the school planned for the spring of 2014.
SHENANDOAH COUNTY, Va. - Deputies arrested a Edinburg teenager over the weekend after they discovered he was plotting to commit acts of terrorism at his school.

A resource officer at Stonewall Jackson High School says they received information that the 17-year-old SJHS student was planning an attack for the spring of 2014.

Two search warrants were executed, and the teen was taken into custody on Sunday. The Virginia State Police bomb squad and Frederick County Sheriff's Office explosive detection dog team assisted with both warrants.

At this time, the teen is charged with one count of committing, conspiring and aiding, and abetting acts of terrorism.

He's currently being held at the Northwestern Regional Detention Center.
