This year's Election Day is just around the corner and preparations are underway.
More than 10,000 people in Clarke County have registered to vote, a number that has increased over the past several years.
You must be at least 18 years of age and carry a form of identification to fill out an application.
For those who may not make it to the polls on Election Day, absentee voting is also available.
"If for some reason, you're unable to the polls on Election Day, whether it be a disability or you're going to be out of town, you're a student; there are several reasons why you can vote absentee," said Barbara Bosserman, general registrar of Clarke County.
A ballot can be mailed to you or you can vote in person.
If you are already registered, it is always best to be on top of your current registration information.
"If you do not update your registration, there may be some delays when you go to vote on Election Day," said Bosserman.
There are seven voting precincts in Clarke County, one in each voting district.
