Experts Talk Car Seat Safety in Wake of Child's Death

Police say a passenger, who was in a child seat used improperly, died at Meritus Medical Center. Meritus offers a free safety seat check so parents can learn the correct way to install car seats.
WHAG NEWS - On Friday, WHAG is learning more information about Thursday night's crash that killed a two-year-old girl who was improperly restrained in a car seat. 

Officials say the crash happened at the intersection of Hollowell Church and State Line Roads in Antrim Township around 6:30 p.m. Thursday. They say a vehicle did not stop at the stop sign, and hit another car, with the child inside, going through the intersection. 

Police say the young girl, who was in a child seat used improperly, died at Meritus Medical Center. Meritus offers a free safety seat check so parents can learn the correct way to install car seats. It's held the second Wednesday of each month.
