Fire Departments Respond to Structure Fire

Fire Departments from Jefferson County, West Virginia responded to a structure fire early Sunday morning.
JEFFERSON COUNTY, WV - Fire Departments responded to a structure fire Sunday morning.

The abandoned structure was located near the intersection of Charles Town Road and Bloomery Road.

Before fire departments arrived to the scene, responding units received information of a homeless couple using the structure as temporary housing but had escaped with no injuries.

According to a press release from the Citizens Fire Company in Charles Town, this was the second structure fire in less than 12 hours in the county. Jefferson County Fire Departments also responded to a house fire early Saturday afternoon near Hite Road.
