Flights to Orlando-Sanford Fla. Resume at HGR

Flights from the Hagerstown Airport run twice a week, Mondays and Fridays. Officials say those with Allegiant determined which months to close based upon periods where they did not have as much traffic.

Hagerstown, Md. – After a three month hiatus, the ever popular non-stop flight from Hagerstown to Orlando/Sanford Florida is back up and running.

Officials with the Washington County Government and Hagerstown Regional Airport announced they’ll be resuming these flights starting Friday.

Flights from the Hagerstown Airport run twice a week, Mondays and Fridays. Officials say those with Allegiant determined which months to close based upon periods where they did not have as much traffic.

In a written release Hagerstown Airport Regional Director Phil Ridenour said, “Allegiant flights are a great value for tri-state residents looking for a convenient non-stop flight to Orlando/Sanford, Fla. Little to no vehicle traffic combined with free parking and an easy flying experience make HGR the go-to option for flights in the region."

Officials say those interested in booking flights through April 28, 2014 are encouraged to stop by the airport or visit their website here. Officials say flights start at $68.
