Former NBA Player Speaks in Martinsburg

MARTINSBURG, WV - Saturday morning, people in West Virginia had the chance to have breakfast with a sports legend.

Spud Webb, a former NBA player, was the guest speaker at the Bob Elmer Celebrity Sports Breakfast.

It was held in honor of local athletes.

Webb stands just 5-feet 6-inches tall and is the third shortest person to play in the NBA.

Now he is retired and speaks about the importance of volunteering with kids.

"I was in the Boy's Club all my life with mentors and guy who would donate equipment, but their time was more valuable than anything in the world. So anytime I get to come out and help, it's the easiest thing to do," said Webb.

He now spends most of his free time playing golf.
