Forum Offers Answers to Changes in New Health Care

"We're in the process of putting out information so individuals can understand how they can enroll for affordable care act in provisions," said Rod MacRae of the Washington County Health Department.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - Changes to health care are coming, and to help locals understand the mechanism of this new government program officials with the Washington County Health Department are offering a local forum.

"We're in the process of putting out information so individuals can understand how they can enroll for affordable care act in provisions," said Rod MacRae of the Washington County Health Department.

MacRae stresses this as an ongoing campaign in which many in the community will be enrolling throughout the next several months.

"I'm concerned for my kids. I don't know where it's headed as the years go by. So many people going in different directions, know what I mean?" said Larry Ezzel, a local resident.

"I'm very much in favor, and encourage people to keep an open mind to look into it and to see how it affects themselves and their families," said MacRae.

As with anything brand new, MacRae believes there will likely be some kinks to work out.

"I suspect we will be doing adjustments even after the implementation begins," said MacRae.
