Frederick County Man Sells Heroin to Undercover Informant

Wiley has a previous criminal history, and was arrested earlier this month for driving with a suspended license and possession of narcotics.

Winchester Va. - A Frederick County man was arrested Thursday afternoon after selling seven capsules of heroin to an undercover informant.

Gerrad Wiley's arrest happens in light of recent events. On Wednesday six members of a seven member heroin ring, as identified by police, pleaded guilty to distributing more than four lbs of heroin to users in the Winchester area.

Northwest Virginia Law Enforcement officials met earlier this month to discuss the rising use of heroin in the Winchester-Front Royal region, and to figure out a preventative plan.

Wiley has a previous criminal history, and was arrested earlier this month for driving with a suspended license and possession of narcotics.

He is being held without bond at the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center. He is awaiting trial, set for April 15, 2014.
