Frederick Man Arrested on Cocaine Charges

Deputies arrested a Frederick man over the weekend after they say he was pulled over for speeding and narcotics were found inside his vehicle.

Frederick County, Md.  Deputies arrested a Frederick man over the weekend after they say he was pulled over for speeding and narcotics were found inside his vehicle.

Officers say on Saturday, October 26 around 4:24 p.m. they pulled over Gary A. Robinson, 24, of Frederick, for speeding and passing other vehicles unsafely.

During the traffic stop, a Sheriff’s Office K9 unit assisted, conducted a scan of the vehicle and alerted deputies to the odor of a narcotic. Deputies say during a search of the driver they found more than $3,000 in U.S. currency, a large amount of suspected cocaine and an oxycodone pill.

Robinson is charged with two counts of possession of cocaine and their derivatives and possession with intent to distribute cocaine. He’s currently being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center
