Front Royal Man Arrested in Subway Burglary

It happened around 2 a.m. Monday morning at a Subway on 350 N Royal Avenue.
FRONT ROYAL, Va. - A Front Royal man is behind bars after police say he broke into a restaurant this week and fled the scene with cash. 

It happened around 2 a.m. Monday morning at a Subway on 350 N Royal Avenue. 

Police say Randall Hillriegel, 27, a former employee, confessed to breaking into the restaurant and taking a cash box along with numerous gift cards. They say Hillriegel was located nearby after an employee had noticed a side door was open at the restaurant. 

Police say he also confessed to breaking a window at the B&J Kustard located on the same lot. Hillriegel's charged with felony breaking and entering, felony grand larceny and a misdemeanor destruction of property. 

He's currently being held at the Warren County Jail on a $5,000 secured bond.
