Hagerstown Man Dies in Three Vehicle PA Accident

Authorities say the driver of one of the vehicles, 79-year-old Delbert Stevenson of Hagerstown was pronounced dead at York Hospital after he was flown there.

WAYNESBORO, Pa.Washington Township Police are investigating a fatal accident that happened Saturday morning at around 9:30.

The three-vehicle crash happened at the intersection of Anthony Highway and Tomstown Road in Waynesboro.

Authorities say the driver of one of the vehicles, 79-year-old Delbert Stevenson of Hagerstown was pronounced dead at York Hospital after he was flown there.

According to police, a vehicle owned by Comcast was traveling westbound on Tomstown Road when the driver, Jason Pecho of McConnellsburg, failed to stop at a stop sign.

That’s when Pecho struck the driver’s side of Stephenson’s car. Pecho’s vehicle then rotated and was struck by another vehicle driven by Ordean Bakner of Waynesboro, according to a press release from Washington Township Police.

Police say Pecho and Bakner were injured and transported to the hospital, but could not comment on their current condition.
