Maryland State Police say a Keedysville woman died following a single vehicle accident along Interstate 70 in Washington County Wednesday evening.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Officials with the Maryland State Police have released more details about a single vehicle accident that tied up traffic along Interstate-70 near the Sharpsburg exit Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators say the accident happened near mile marker 28 around 5 p.m. Wednesday.  They say Jessica Nave, 33, of Keedysville was driving a silver convertible, lost control and left the roadway. Police say the vehicle hit several trees before her car overturned and she was ejected.  Police say she was not wearing a seat-belt at the time of the accident.

Officials say Nave was taken from the scene by ambulance to  Meritus Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Police say their investigation into what happened continues, but say witnesses on the scene noticed Nave was driving recklessly prior to the accident, and appeared to be using her cell phone.
