CLEAR SPRING, Md. - Starting on Monday, Clear Spring High School kicked off it's anti-bullying week with spirit day to raise awareness about bullying prevention.

"It's not an issue that runs ramped but however its something if you don't addresses it and you don't keep it in the forefront the idea of anti bullying it's something that could become an issue," said James Aleshire, Principal at Clear Spring High School.

Youth speaker Tyree Streling started the week with an interactive presentation about being a part of the solution to end bullying.

During the rest of the week, students are also learning about the various forms of bullying from physical, emotional and even social and what they can do when they see bullying.

"We are not there with the phones or the computer and they're issues that are brought to us so it's just something that does add another angle to bullying," said Aleshire.

Officials hope by supporting anti-bullying awareness it prevents bullying in the future.

The school's ending the week by wearing red to stomp out bullying in schools and the community.
