Man Arrested in Hagerstown Home Invasion

A Hagerstown man has been arrested after police say he broke into a home early Friday morning.
HAGERSTOWN, MD- A Hagerstown man has been arrested after police say he broke into a home early Friday morning. 

It happened around 6 a.m. along the 1500 block of Violet Drive in Hagerstown. 

Officers say Terrance Warfield, 30, of Frederick, Md.,  knew the homeowner and had entered the back door of the house, while he and his two children were asleep. The victim told police he woke up to the sounds of his dogs barking. The victim says Warfield confronted him and one of his children with a handgun and demanded cash. 

Warfield escaped with an unknown amount of money and personal items after being fought off by the male resident. Police say the homeowner suffered minor injuries that did not require medical attention. No children were injured during the incident. 

Warfield was taken into custody shortly after and faces numerous charges including armed robbery, assault, and reckless endangerment. He's currently being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $300,000 bond.
