Man Dies in Single Vehicle Accident in Frederick County

Thomas Crenshaw, 69, of Winchester, Va. was traveling westbound in a 1994 Jeep Wrangler SUV when his vehicle ran off of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned.
FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. - Virginia State Police Winchester Barrack say a man died Friday morning in a single vehicle accident in Frederick County. 

It happened around 8:30 a.m. on Route 50 at Robinhood Circle. 

State Police say 
Thomas Dibrell Crenshaw, 69, of WinchesterVa. was traveling westbound in a 1994 Jeep Wrangler SUV when his vehicle ran off of the roadway, struck a guardrail and overturned. 

State Police say Crenshaw was not wearing a seat-belt and was ejected from the vehicle in the crash. Crenshaw was pronounced dead on scene. 

Police say alcohol was not involved in the crash. The right lane of Route 50 was shut down for about two hours Friday morning while crews worked to clear the scene. 

The cause of the crash is still being investigated by Trooper W.A. Connelly with the Virginia State Police Department.
