Man Dies in Two Vehicle Accident in Hagerstown

One person is dead and three others injured after a head on collision on Frederick Street in Hagerstown early Tuesday morning.
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Md. - One person is dead and three others are injured after a head-on collision in Hagerstown early Tuesday morning. 

Hagerstown City Police say the accident happened around 1:44 a.m. Tuesday in the 600 block of Frederick Street. 

According to police, there were three injuries and one fatality. All four people were initially taken to Meritus Medical Center, but officers say Jeremy Peel was pronounced dead on the scene. 

Friends of Peel say he was on his way home after dropping off a friend. Peel is survived by his two sons, his mother and step-father. A wreath hangs on a pole near the crash site, to honor his memory. 

The three other people involved in the crash have been identified as Teela Icis Thompson, 28, of Frederick, Deserae Ferguson, 23, of Frederick, and Craig Alan Kennedy Jr., 25, of Hagerstown. Officers say the medical condition of these three are unknown at this time. 

Police tell WHAG charges are pending, while the investigation is ongoing.
