Man Holds Knife to Woman's Throat, Threatens to Throw off Bridge

Police say the man pulled a knife on the woman, held it to her throat and threatened to throw her off the bridge.
CUMBERLAND, Md. -  A Cumberland man is facing charges after police say he assaulted a woman on a bridge. 

Police arrested Haryley Higson Wednesday after he allegedly threatened to assault a woman. It happened near Baltimore Street on the bridge over Wills Creek. 

Police say Higson pulled a knife on the woman and held it to her throat, then threatened to throw her off the bridge. 

The woman was not harmed in the incident. 

Higson is currently being held at the Allegany County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond.
