Martinsburg Home Destroyed in Early Morning Fire

The call for the fire came in just after midnight, early Friday morning on North High Street. It took crews about three hours to contain the flames.
BERKELEY COUNTY, W.Va. - We have another house fire to tell you about - this one in Martinsburg. The call for the fire came in just after midnight, early Friday morning on North High Street.

The blaze was put out within three hours and we now know there are no reported injuries.

The Martinsburg Fire Department says the cause of the electrical fire is accidental.  According to fire officials, the fire began in a second floor bedroom before spreading to the attic.

Damages are estimated to be around $25,000. The Red Cross is assisting the family.
