Martinsburg Man Indicted for Allegedly Faking Terminal Cancer

A Martinsburg man was indicted by a grand jury this week for allegedly faking terminal cancer. 
MARTINSBURG, WV- A Martinsburg man was indicted by a grand jury this week for allegedly faking terminal cancer. 

According to court documents, Steven Mohn used more than $4,000 that was raised for him in a cancer benefit. 

The documents say more than 20 area businesses contributed to the benefit, including the Cornerstone Bible Church. 

Witnesses told investigators that Mohn claimed he only had 12 to 18 months to live after developing cancer to his lymph nodes, pelvis, chest and neck. 

Mohn is facing one count of felony fraudulent scheme and is also facing several charges connected to the distribution of prescription drugs.
