This is the fifth largest jackpot in United States lotto history and the second largest Mega Million Jackpot ever.

WHAG NEWS - Friday night someone in the four-state region could become an instant millionaire.

The multi-state Mega Millions jackpot is now worth an estimated $425 million.

This is the fifth largest jackpot in United States lotto history and the second largest Mega Million Jackpot ever.

People across the nation and right here in the four-state region have been buying tickets in record numbers.

Hagerstown resident Stephanie Jackson bought several tickets, hoping to win big.

"First of all, I am going to be stunned. I'm gonna call my kids and tell them I hit the Mega Millions and they're all gonna be taken care of" said Jackson.

The jackpot has been growing since October 1, 2013 and has rolled over 20 times without a winner.

Lotto officials say odds of matching all six numbers are about one in 259 million. The drawing is Friday night at 11 p.m.
