MSD Football Wins National Title

The Maryland School for the Deaf won its 7th straight National Deaf Prep Football Championship this season.  Deafdigest.com named the Orioles the top Deaf Football team in the country, for the eight time in nine years
 FREDERICK, MD.-  The Maryland School for the Deaf won its 7th straight National Deaf Prep Football Championship this season.  Deafdigest.com named the Orioles the top Deaf Football team in the country, for the eight time in nine years. 

MSD had a 10-1 record this season, beating four other deaf programs this year.  Over the last seven years, the Orioles have an amazing 72-3 record. 

MSD was lead by Todd Bonheyo who threw for over 1,500 yards in 2009.  Receiver Shawn Harrington has 700 yards receiving.

The Maryland School for the Deaf Volleyball team also won a National deaf Prep Title, as decided by Deafdigest.com.  The Orioles finished the year with a 37-5 record.  It's the volleyball teams fourth straight national title and seventh in nine years.
