There are new developments on the cause of the house fire that broke out early Friday morning in the north end of Hagerstown.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. There are new developments on the cause of the house fire that broke out early Friday morning in the north end of Hagerstown.

Officials with the Hagerstown Fire Department say the cause of the fire was determined to come from a room used for storage of smokeless gun powder.

Kenneth Ridenour, the owner of the home on 821 Potomac Avenue, was taken to Meritus Medical Center for treatment, officials say.

Officials say no fighters were hurt in the blaze.
