New iPhone 5S Sells Out at Local Stores

The release of the new iPhone 5S sold out during the first three hours at one AT&T in Hagerstown.

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Apple's new iPhone 5S and 5C has just been released, keeping workers at local stores pretty busy.

"It's definitely been pretty busy, we opened at 8 a.m. and a line, about 20 customers," said Brandon Ingle of AT&T.

Some of those customers were parents whose kids couldn't wait any longer to get their hands on Apple's latest product.

"She's been excited since we pre-ordered it Friday, been counting down the days to get the phone, and changing her mind every other day on the case color," said Todd Spires, an iPhone customer.

Although officials at AT&T say the iPhone 5S wasn't their biggest launch, the product sold out within the first three hours.

One of the major highlights that has many talking is the new finger scanner.

"It has a new finger print scanner for security. It's pretty cool and a new processor that's faster than the older iPhones," said Jeremy Heffner, an iPhone customer.

As for those iPhone fans who didn't get their hands on the new iPhone 5S, you can always order online. Though if you plan to order the popular gold or silver shades, be prepared for the possibility of waiting a few weeks.
