It's New Years Eve! On Tuesday night, many people are celebrating as we count down until 2014.
WHAG NEWS - It's New Years Eve! On Tuesday night, many people are celebrating as we count down until 2014.

From a donut drop in Hagerstown, to an anchor drop in Shippensburg, there are several events in the four-state area to help folks ring in the new year!

Many people toast the new year with a drink, but will all the fun an excitement, law enforcement officials have a warning for you.

If you have anything to drink, do not get behind the wheel.

"If you're going to be partying, or drinking, make sure you get a ride. Don't be drinking and driving. There is going to be extra law enforcement presence on the road to ensure safety of the public getting to and from where they are going," said Trooper Schmidt, Maryland State Police.

The donut dropped in the public square around 7 p.m. in downtown Hagerstown Tuesday evening.
