The Northern Virginia Arson Task Force has joined the investigation, but officials won't say exactly what they're looking into.
WINCHESTER, VA- WHAG has the latest updates on the Kent Street fire that claimed the life of a two-year-old boy. 

WHAG learned on Wednesday that the Northern Virginia Arson Task Force has joined the investigation, but officials won't say exactly what they are looking into. Winchester Police say they are using all resources to investigate the cause of the fire. 

The fire happened on June 18, 2013 at a home on 300 North Kent Street. The Winchester Police issued search warrants to investigate arson and felony homicide, and the child's mother Sherry Cruz was names on the reports. 

She was the only adult at home with her five children when the fire started. 

No charges have been filed and officials say they have no timeline as far as how long the investigation will take.
