Ethics Board to Release Decision Tuesday Regarding Blaine Young

In Maryland, the Frederick County Ethics Board discussed a complaint about County Commissioner President Blaine Young allegedly having an affair with a county employee.
FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. - The Frederick County Ethics Board met Monday evening to discuss a claim made against County Commissioner President Blaine Young allegedly having an affair with a county employee.   Their decision regarding the matter will be released on Tuesday.

"This is why people don't want to get involved. This is why people's don't want to run for office, why they don't want to serve. You have to deal with these types of allegations that are based on purely rumor with no proof or facts," said Young.

Political Activist Patrick Allen made the complaint, after getting citizen complaints of the county employee and Young together. Young tells WHAG he is separated from his wife, but denies he's having an extramarital affair with the woman.

"When it comes to my personal life and my marriage, this isn't a reality show. This isn't Duck Dynasty or some other type of Honey Boo Boo or some type of reality show. There's children involved here. There's families involved here. This is absolutely absurd that we would even spend time having to deal with this type of crap based on rumors," said Young.

Young says he is considering running for county executive, and believes the allegations could stem from that.
