Pa. Man Charged with Traveling Across Border to have Sex with Minor

Court officials say Anthony Pennington, 24, drove the young female from Berkeley Springs, W.Va., to Pennsylvania in May and engaged in sexual activity with her.
BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - A Pennsylvania man is facing charges after officials say he traveled across the state line to have sex with a minor. 

Court officials say Anthony Pennington, 24, drove the young female from Berkeley Springs, W.Va., to Pennsylvania in May and engaged in sexual activity with her. 

Pennington is charged with one count of transportation in interstate commerce of minor for purposes of engaging in sexual activity, and one count of traveling in interstate commerce with the intent to engage in illicit sexual activity. 

If convicted, Pennington could face up to life in prison on the transportation count, and up to 30 years on the traveling count. 

Pennington is currently being held at the Eastern Regional Jail awaiting his next court appearance. The case was investigated by the Morgan County Sheriff's Department.
