Police Investigate Armed Robbery and Stabbing

Police have arrested two people in connection to a stabbing and armed robbery that happened Friday evening.

FREDERICK, Md. – Police have arrested two people in connection to a stabbing and armed robbery that happened Friday evening.

Around 8:30pm, officers responded to a robbery in progress on the 1400 block of Taney Avenue where they say they found the victim who had been stabbed.

Police say before the stabbing occurred, the victim and the female suspect met up to go to Hagerstown to conduct business. After they returned that's when police say both suspects assaulted and robbed the victim.

“At that time they removed some money from him, stabbed him, obviously using the knife as the force to receive that money and then pushed him out of the car where they then fled,” said Lt. Clark Pennington, Frederick Police Department.

After stabbing the victim, police say the suspects fled the scene.

"Troopers on routine patrol and actively looking for this vehicle in and around the city located the suspect vehicle in the key parkway, hawthorn square area. When they got out of the vehicle they were able to positively identify both occupants of the vehicle as the individuals who assaulted and robbed our victim,” said Pennington.

Later that night, officers say they found and charged Daniel Lohr and Alexandra Kastner with first and second degree assault, armed robbery, robbery, theft and reckless endangerment

Police believe this wasn't a random event and they're continuing to investigate a motive. Both suspects are being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center
