Police Looking for Driver Who Hit Pedestrian

Police are looking for the person who they say ran over a pedestrian and then fled the scene in Allegany County.
MOUNT SAVAGE, Md. - Police are looking for the person who they say ran over a pedestrian and then fled the scene in Allegany County.

According to the Maryland State Police, it happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday along Route 36 in Mount Savage.

Police are looking for a gray or silver pick-up Dodge extended cab with a camouflage interior and a broken driver-side mirror hanging by a wire.

The truck was last seen traveling northbound along Route 36.

Anyone who saw the crash and the driver of the pick-up truck is asked to call Senior Trooper D. Wagoner, at 301-729-2101, ext. 7167. 

The male victim was taken to western Maryland Health Systems for his injuries.
