Police: Man Ingests Marijuana During Traffic Stop, Assaults Officers

Frederick City Police say the suspect continued to try and assault them after he was handcuffed.
FREDERICK, Md. - Police in Frederick pulled over a driver Saturday evening, and then they say he ingested marijuana and assaulted several officers.

Frederick City Police arrested 25-year-old Cecil Earl Moore Jr., of the 400 block of Wellington Court, just after 9 p.m.

Police say they saw Moore using the drug and told him he was under arrest. That's when Moore allegedly assaulted officers, and police say Moore continued to try and assault them after he was handcuffed.

He was treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital and then booked at Frederick County Adult Detention Center.

Moore is charged with four counts of second-degree assault, resisting arrest, and possession of marijuana.
