Police Search for Man in M&T Bank Robbery

It happened around 10:34 a.m. at the M&T Bank in the 17000 block of Garland Groh Blvd. in Hagerstown.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Officers with the Hagerstown Police Department are searching for a man who they say robbed a local bank Tuesday morning. 

It happened around 10:34 a.m. at the M&T Bank in the 17000 block of Garland Groh Blvd. in Hagerstown. 

Officers say a masked man entered the bank with that appeared to be a handgun in his waistband and approached one of the tellers, demanding money. They say the man fled the scene in a charcoal grey compact four-door Toyota with an undisclosed amount of cash. Police believe the vehicle has New Jersey plates with a partial registration of B-JCO. 

The suspect is described as a white male, who was last seen wearing a tan jacket, grey hooded sweatshirt, black mask and blue jeans. 

Anyone with information is asked to call the Hagerstown Department of Police Criminal Investigations Division at (301)-790-3700 ext. 234 or they can also email information to crimetip@hagerstownpd.org. A cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible.
