Restoration Efforts Continue in West Virginia

Officials say more people are now able to use their tap water for cooking, drinking and bathing.
WHAG NEWS - WHAG has an update Wednesday on the restoration efforts in West Virginia.

Officials say more people are now able to use their tap water for cooking, drinking and bathing. For the last six days, some 300,000 people living in nine West Virginia counties were not able to use their water for any purpose.

Currently officials are flushing out the waster systems zone-by-zone to make sure the chemical is out of the pipes.

"We have recovered approximately 51,000 customers, which is more than half so we're making great progress," said Laura Jordan, external affairs manager.
