Route-340 Eastbound Reopens After Rollover Accident

It happened around 10 a.m. Thursday morning on the ramp near Lander Road. We're told one person has been flown to an area hospital for treatment.

FREDERICK COUNTY, Md. - Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack say Route-340 eastbound was shut down for over an hour Thursday morning following a rollover accident. 

It happened around 10 a.m. Thursday morning on the ramp near Lander Road. This photo was posted on the Frederick Fire Wire's Facebook page. You can see here the traffic is backed up from 340-eastbound at the Jefferson exit. 

We're told one person has been flown to an area hospital for treatment. No word on their condition at this time. 

State Police were on the scene til around noon, waiting for tow trucks. 

The accident is currently under investigation.
