Senior Center Opens at Western Maryland Hospital

"This is a great facility because it has lots of parking, seniors are really familiar with it, it's been here and established for a long time," said Hilary Lo, community educator.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Folks gathered at Western Maryland Hospital Center Tuesday to celebrate a new senior center opening. 

Officials with the new center say they moved from Girls Inc. to the Western Maryland Hospital Center. 

The Washington County Commission on Aging now have their own wing where seniors can take arts and crafts or fitness classes. 

"This is a great facility because it has lots of parking, seniors are really familiar with it, it's been here and established for a long time," said Hilary Lo, community educator. 

Officials say the center will be open to seniors Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
