Severe Fog Causes Car Accident

A Mineral County man gets into a car accident after police say he drove his truck off the roadway and into a ditch due to severe fog conditions.

GARRETT COUNTY, Md. - A Mineral County man drove his truck off the roadway and into a ditch due to severe fog conditions.

The Garrett County Sheriff’s Office says the accident happened Saturday morning and the driver is identified as 63-year-old Kenneth Umstot of New Creek, Wv and was not transported. Police say the accident happened in Bloomington, Maryland on the 16000 block of Maryland Highway

Police are reminding the public to be cautious while driving during severe weather conditions.
