Spooky Sneak Peak of "Halloween in Baker Park"

Organizers say the tour lasts about 55 minutes and folks will interact with about 200 characters at different stations in the park.
FREDERICK, Md. - Halloween is just around the corner, and WHAG got a spooky sneak peak of Halloween in Baker Park.

The ending point of the tour greets folks with a loud cackling laugh of a witch. The scary event starts at 6:30 p.m. this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Organizers say tours last about 55 minutes and start behind the band-shell at Baker Park.

People will get to interact with about 200 characters at different stations in the park, then the boat house at Culler Lake, or the witch's house. Organizers say everyone will also get a bag of candy.

"This year's theme is superstitions, and as you can see, I have an umbrella because it's bad luck to have an umbrella open inside of a building. The whole tour will be centered around different superstitions that people will either know or maybe will learn some new ones as they go around the tour of the park," said Roelkey Myers, deputy director Frederick Parks and Rec.

People can register by going to the William Talley Rec Center or by calling the Frederick City Department of Parks and Recreation at (301)-600-1493.
