State Police Investigate Assault in Allegany County

The Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack are investigating an incident involving an assault with a rifle.
ALLEGANY COUNTY, Md. - The Maryland State Police Cumberland Barrack are investigating an incident involving an assault with a rifle. 

Police say around 7:45 p.m. on Oct. 5, 2013 they responded to National Pike, near the Silver Springs Drive area of Little Orleans in Allegany County. 

State police say upon further investigation they discovered about two weeks ago a man had stopped out with a neighbor along National Pike, and advised someone fired a shotgun at him while he was pulled over at the SHA garage.
