A Winter Storm Warning is in effect 8 AM Sunday, Dec. 8 until 10 AM Monday, Dec. 8. Sunday - Snow accumulation from 1-3" in some spots, followed by a mix of snow/sleet into the afternoon. As evening approaches, this will turn to freezing rain. By Monday morning, ice accumulations could reach .25-.50".
Most of the viewing area is under a Winter Storm Warning beginning 8 AM Sunday morning until 10 AM Monday morning.  Beginning Sunday morning, snow will begin to fall throughout the 4state area, an accumulation of 1-3" of snow is expected.  Snow will mix with sleet at times, especially by the afternoon hours.  Snow/sleet will change to freezing rain as the evening approaches, giving us a possible ice accumulation of .25-.50".  Freezing rain will continue into the early hours of Monday morning, followed by a warm up and a change to rain.  Commute and travel will be tricky Monday morning for many areas, definitely those seeing an accumulation of ice.  

TODAY:  Snow in the early hours of Sunday, then by noon expect a mix of snow/sleet. Snow accumulation: 1-3". HIGH:  29.  WIND:  East 5-10 MPH.  

TONIGHT:  Snow/sleet will eventually turn to freezing rain as the evening approaches.  Ice accumulation:  .25-.50".  LOW: 28.  WIND: East 5-10 MPH.

MONDAY: Early Monday morning freezing rain will continue, but by 10 AM we should see a switch to rain.   HIGH:  40,  LOW: 25.

TUESDAY:  Partly sunny, a chance for a snow shower.  Cold air settles into the region.  HIGH:  33,  LOW:  20.

WEDNESDAY: Sunny and cold.  HIGH:  33,  LOW: 13.

THURSDAY:  Mostly sunny and very cold.  HIGH:  28,  LOW:  12.  

FRIDAY:  Mostly sunny and still very cold.  HIGH:  30,  LOW: 15.  

SATURDAY:  Mostly cloudy.  HIGH:  32, LOW:  20.
