The manager of the bar said the bartender was supposed to shut down the establishment around , but stayed open later to accommodate a customer who was waiting for a ride.
The manager told WHAG that the suspect showed up around , wearing a ski mask and hooded sweatshirt.
It’s unclear whether or not there was forced entry, but according to the manager, once the suspect was inside, he proceeded to bind the bartender with duct tape and rummage through drawers.
The bartender then directed him to keys which opened the safe, and that’s when the suspect took around $4,000 and fled the scene.
Police are still searching for the suspect who is believed to be about six-feet tall with a medium build.
Anyone with more information is asked to get in touch with Frederick Police.
