Telephone Pole Line Reported Stolen in Montgomery Twp.

The Pennsylvania State Police says they're investigating the theft of about 500 ft of telecommunication line.
FRANKLIN COUNTY, Pa. - The Pennsylvania State Police Chambersburg barrack is investigating the theft of about 500 feet of telecommunication line. 

Troopers say the line was removed from the telephone poles on Saturday, November 16 during the overnight hours on the corner of Shimpstown and Corner Road in Montgomery Township. 

Police say the theft disrupted service to area customers. A white bucket lift truck may have been in the area before the theft. 

These lines are typically stolen for the copper wire inside, according to troopers. 

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Solvers at (717)-263-3000. Information leading to an arrest may result in a reward of up to $2,000. 

Century Link is offering an additional $500 reward for the arrest of those related to this crime.
