"The Turkey Song," Gone Viral

"I ran off the road in my pickup truck, I dodged a heard of turkeys, so I got a concussion or coma, jogged my brain around, and I literally fell asleep, woke up the next morning, singing, ‘gobble, gobble, strut, strut,’ wrote it word for word, and saved it for seven years,” Dickie said.
MERCERSBURG, Pa. – No, Adam Sandler hasn't made another "turkey day" song, but a Mercersburg man has, and it's gone viral.

Meet Barry Ratcliffe. Barry's an actor, and he created the character, Dickie Stickhead.

"I just love Dickie Stickhead too, because the song sticks in your head, so you give it that approach. The other thing is a stickhead would be just a tiny little person, I'm nothing like a tiny little person," said Ratcliffe as Stickhead.

We talked to Ratcliffe as Dickie Stickhead. He said it all came to him in a dream one night seven years ago.

And in his dream he saw dancers, dancing to his turkey song.

Dickie said his mission? To save the Thanksgiving turkeys.

"Saving a turkey, one turkey at a time, I'm right there with the President of the United States, whoever that is right now," Dickie said.

And Dickie’s not done. He's looking to help the bunnies of Easter, and he's looking out for other holidays too, like Valentines Day.

Some have called him the Adam Sandler of the four state area. He said he's also ready to take over the funnyman's title of holiday song-man.

"Adam, if you're listening, I'm after you! You're the man I'm after!"

Barry Ratcliffe’s “Dickie Stickhead Turkey Song” video has gotten just over 17,000 views in under a month, and he credits his work wife, Shari Hollenshead who plays Debbie Sue Stickhead.
