PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Police responded to a school shooting Wednesday in Pittsburgh. Our affiliate WPXI confirmed three male students were shot outside of Brashear High School Wednesday afternoon after being ambushed.

Exactly what happened is still under investigation, but several people have been taken into custody for questioning.

The Pittsburgh School District spokesperson said the students were shot just before 3 p.m. as they were walking to a car they'd taken to school earlier Wednesday, just off school property.

As of now, officials say their injuries appear to be non-life threatening.

Witness told police they say male shooters ran into the woods behind the school after firing shots. SWAT trams have surrounded a nearby home where the shooter may be holed up.
