Two Arrested in Days Inn Hotel Armed Robbery

The incident happened in the early morning hours around 4 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, at the Days Inn Hotel on Buckeystown Pike in Frederick.
FREDERICK, Md. - Members with the Frederick County Bureau of Investigation have arrested two Frederick residents Wednesday in connection an armed robbery reported at a local hotel. 

The incident happened in the early morning hours around 4 a.m. Tuesday, October 5, at the Days Inn Hotel on Buckeystown Pike in Frederick. 

Investigators say Corey M. Williams, 35, and Makayla B. Tyeryar, 19, forced entry into a person's hotel room. The 34-year-old victim from Ontario, Canada reported to police the two robbed him at gunpoint and stole his identification card and two cell phones. The man was not hurt in the robbery. 

Deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff's Office canvassed the area and said they located a suspicious 2006 Ford Fusion parked near the victim's hotel room. The woman inside the vehicle, Tamara R. Lyles, 35, was found to have an outstanding FTA warrant throughout Washington County, Maryland, and was arrested and taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center. 

Deputies say throughout the course of the investigation on Tuesday they were able to identify Williams and Tyeryar as the robbery suspects. The two were found and taken into custody at the Comfort Inn on Patrick Street in Frederick. The two were eventually taken to the Frederick County Adult Detention Center after questioning. 

Members with the Frederick County Bureau of Investigation executed a search warrant on the hotel room on Tuesday. Early Wednesday morning they searched the 2006 Ford Fusion. Det. Dan Romeril is currently handling the investigation.
