Two Hagerstown Lieutenants Promoted

Former Lieutenant Paul Kifer Jr. and Lieutenant Thomas Langston have been promoted to the rank of Captain.
HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Hagerstown Police Department recognized two outstanding Lieutenants on Thursday.

Former Lieutenant Paul Kifer Jr.  and Lieutenant Thomas Langston have been promoted to the rank of Captain.

The two captains were chosen based on their leadership in the Hagerstown Police Department, as well as their commitment to the community and the different experiences they bring to the police force.

"Both of these men have worked in a number of different divisions in our police department, handled everything from complex investigations to community meetings. I felt that those are some of the main reasons why we selected them," said Chief Mark Holtzman, Hagerstown City Police.

Captain Keiffer and Captain Langston will head a new community program in the area.
