Two injured in ATV crash

A man and a six year-old boy were taken to the hospital after their ATV flipped over backwards and rolled in Boonsboro.
BOONSBORO, Md. -- The Washington County Sheriff's Department just reported that one man was flown to Baltimore Shock Trauma, and a six year-old was taken to Meritus Medical Center, after their ATV flipped over backwards and rolled.

Deputies say the accident happened at 2:44 p.m. Thursday afternoon on the 6400 block of Zittlestown Road in Boonsboro. The man driving the ATV, Jeremy Gowers of Martinsburg, along with a six year-old boy were filling deer feeders in a wooded area nearby. As Gowers tried to drive up a steeper road, that's when deputies say their ATV flipped.

Deputies report that both Gowers and the boy appear to have non-life threatening injuries.
